Day 10 – Scriptures that Heal – part 2

This is part 2 of Scriptures that Heal. You can read part 1 READ HERE

 I would encourage you to read the 1st post as it will set the frame-work for really seeing these scriptures work in your life. 

If you study the word as a whole, and not just in part you will begin to discover trends in humanity that you can relate with and the everlasting goodness of God.

These scriptures are only a snap shot of the BIG picture and I encourage you to read the bible as a whole.

 

Scriptures For Anxiety/Fear

God’s Love Protects Us

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

You are secure in God because He loves you 

Cast your cares on the Lord  and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalms 55:22

We go to God with our worries, even the silly ones

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

We can trust God

When I am afraid, I will trust in you Psalm 56:3

God is taking care of us, we are important to Him

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life ?  “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:25-34
Only God can give us true peace
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
He holds us up
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Scriptures For Depression

God’s gives us rest from weariness 

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11: 28-30

 

God is ahead of us, planning out our life

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

 

Hope leads you out of depression

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God. Psalm 42:11

 

God can lift up your head to see His protection

But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. Psalm 3:3

 

 

Scriptures For Hope/Peace/Joy

We were created for peace

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

 

Think on the goodness of God

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. Philippians 4:8

 

Jesus has already done it!

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

 

We can celebrate

Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do. Ecclesiastes 9:7

 

The journey to salvation is a blessing

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,  for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9

 

God fills us to overflowing!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

    I had a bad night last night – and every time I woke up, and felt anxious, I just kept saying, over and over again, “God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.” Those are God’s gifts to me. I woke up this morning feeling tired but joyful. There is so much power in God’s word. And that verse is definitely one the Holy Spirit has led me to. The other is, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future…” God’s word. Not mine! And I now know that God’s plans don’t include fear or being tormented by fear.

    I do pray for you! You are stepping out there to help others – so I pray for your peace and for your readers. God has come so that we may be free. In this life AND for the next. Amen!

      Hi Brian,

      I fixed the link, just for you! These posts are a part of an online series Fearless in 21 Days, because it is in the process of being published into a book I have disconnected most of the links to the other posts. I hate doing that, because it means people can’t get everything they need right away, but it will be worth the wait!
