Starbucks- well played Satan, well played…

I was never intending on blogging about ‘a cup’- because the whole thing is kind of stupid.

However, I was browsing through some Christian mega stars, and evangelists Facebook Posts this morning, some who had taken a stand either way.  I could not get over the public attacks towards the leader (accusing them of falling away) and then towards one another in the comment section. One post showed 927 comments (and growing). Some cursing, and judging the salvation of the other.

I  thought to myself “well played Satan, well played.”

Don’t you guys all realize that Satan just threw ONE piece of candy in the middle of a million siblings so he could watch them all fight and tear each other apart? Oh and the jerk did it publicly so the WHOLE world could watch? AWESOME!

Can we get any more Honey Boo Boo?

I believe in taking a stand for Christian values, and now more than ever, we have a fight on our hands to maintain a moral voice in our nation, to keep our speech free, and our rights to believe.

However, ‘in these days’, the attacks on Christians will become more subtle, and we have to be on guard, not to what is happening on the OUTSIDE (aka a cup decor) but what is happening on the INSIDE!

Luke 11:39Woes to Pharisees and Experts in Law
38When the Pharisee saw it, he was surprised that He had not first ceremonially washed before the meal. 39But the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the platter; but inside of you, you are full of robbery and wickedness. 40“You foolish ones, did not He who made the outside make the inside also?…

We seriously need to stop becoming an Expert in the Law, and start focusing on how ‘unChristian’ we become when Satan throws a treat. Do you really think the attacks on Christians are that frontal and obvious? Any expert on war strategy will tell you that frontal assaults NEVER work!

The Art of War

    • Deception – A strategy that seeks to deceive, trick, or fool the enemy and create a false perception in a way that can be leveraged for a military advantage

My Personal Opinion and Stance

I do not have an opinion either way on Starbucks, I may avoid buying them for a while, and then when I have a craving for whip cream, with coffee on the side, I will go there. I will tell them my real name, and I will  still tip the waitress. I won’t even let them know I am a Christian, or say ‘bless you’ to sneak in some evangelism undetected, because in that moment I will probably just want a coffee, or I will be meeting with a great friend I haven’t seen in a while, so I probably won’t even remember there was a thing.

But what I will do is constantly be paying attention to the war that goes on, on the inside –
I prefer wine anyway..Paper cup of coffe isolated on the blank background

If you know your enemy and you know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor… Click To Tweet
